FAQs for Individuals

Are you a doctor?

1

No, I am not a doctor or a medical practice. I collaborate with Doctors and Specialists or other Clinicians to bring Medical Group Visits to their patients as Consultant, Co-Facilitator and Trainer. I am a Qualified Professional with experience in Case Management and have created a membership portal to support individuals on their care journey, but I do not give any medical advice. I may give you questions, ideas or paperwork to discuss with your Care Team.

What is a Care Team?

2

A Care Team is anyone who supports you in your Healthcare. You hopefully have a supportive General Practitioner (Primary Care Physician), and possibly others including Specialists, Therapists/Counselors, In-Home Nurses, Case Manager and more. Your Care Team doesn’t have to be only medical professionals, but can also include those that you interact with regularly like family members, friends, coworkers and church members.

Do you have an office?

3

We don’t have an office. Why? Because people with Chronic Illnesses, especially fatiguing or disabling chronic illnesses, don’t need another office they need to drive to. All of our services are available virtually so you can join from where you are. In bed, from the couch, from a doctor’s waiting room or from a vacation home!

I don’t know if I have a Chronic Illness. Can I still become a member?

4

Who pays for this?

What if no one else has my specific disease in the support groups?

YES!!! We will never make you disclose anything about your current or past medical history. You can share if you’d like, but it’s not required. The tools, techniques and webinars are based on symptoms which can be spread across many diseases. If you believe you have an illness and need support, we are here for you. Even if you aren’t sick, if you are a caregiver or have someone in your life with an illness, we would be delighted if you join as a member and attend any event that is not a disease specific support group. We do have events specifically for Caregivers as well!

Your Insurance can pay for Medical Group Visits if your doctor Facilitates them. If you’re doctor is currently not offering Group Medical Visits, please share our website with them and ask if they will reach out for a Free Consultation. Unfortunately, we cannot accept insurance for our membership. That’s why we have a Free Membership Tier . We will occasionally offer discounts on Paid Memberships, so Contact Us for those opportunities.

You may not meet another person who has the same exact disease as you since we are a growing group, but that’s not a problem!! Our information is often based on symptoms and not always diseases. For example, if you have POTS, you probably have symptoms that overlap with a lot of diseases, including Familial Dysautonomia, Long COVID, Chronic Fatigue or others. You will find much to relate to with others, even if your symptom clusters are exactly the same. Even if you don’t share symptoms, you may share frustration with your family not understanding your ‘Invisible Illness,’ doctors gaslighting you, insurance frustration or problems dating due to your symptoms. These obstacles are universal for those with Chronic Illness, which is why we aren’t a disease specific company!
